ChatGPT 진화의 시작 : 웹 브라우징과 플러그인 출시 (사용법)

OpenAI에서 예고했던 ChatGPT의 새로운 기능인 웹 브라우징(Web browsing)과 플러그인(Plugins)이 일부 사용자들에게 공개가 되었습니다. GPT-4 하위 항목으로 구성된 것으로 보아 ChatGPT PLUS를 구독 중인 사용자들 중 일부 사용자들에게 먼저 베타 버전으로 공개한 것으로 보입니다. OpenAI는 지난 12일에 "일주일 내로 전 PLUS 이용자를 대상으로 적용을 완료할 것"이라고 밝혔으니 금주 내에 유료 사용자는 모두 사용이 가능할 것으로 보입니다.

웹 브라우징(Web browsing) 사용하기

[ Settings ]를 클릭하면 Settings 화면이 열립니다.

[ Beta features ]를 클릭하고 Web browsing을 클릭하여 활성화합니다.

웹 브라우징(Web browsing)을 사용할 수 있는 경우 GPT-4 하위 항목에서 'Browsing (Beta)'를 선택할 수 있습니다. 

이제 질문을 해보겠습니다. 이전 ChatGPT는 2021년 9월까지의 데이터로 학습이 되어있기 때문에 2022년 카타르 월드컵 우승팀에 대해서는 알지 못했었습니다. 하지만 웹 브라우징(Web browsing) 기능이 활성화된 상태에서는 질문의 답을 하기 웹에서 검색 후 답변을 합니다.

검색한 정보를 보여주고, 우측 숫자에 마우스를 가져가면 참조한 출처와 링크를 함께 제공하여 사용자가 클릭하면 바로 이동할 수 있게 합니다.

Plugins 사용하기

[ Settings ]를 클릭하면 Settings 화면이 열립니다.

[ Beta features ]를 클릭하고 Plugins를 클릭하여 활성화합니다. 현재 웹 브라우징(Web browsing)보다 플러그인(Plugins) 기능은 사용자가 더 제한적입니다. Web browsing 하위에 Plugins이 보이지 않는다면 아직 사용이 불가한 상태로 기회가 주어질 때까지 좀 더 기다려야 할 것 같습니다. 

플러그인(Plugins)을 사용할 수 있는 경우 GPT-4 하위 항목에서 'Plugins (Beta)'를 선택할 수 있습니다. 그런 다음 Plugin store에 들어가서 원하는 Plugin을 설치할 수 있습니다.

Plugin을 결합하여 동시에 사용할 수도 있기 때문에 자신에게 필요한 Plugin을 선택하여 설치하면 됩니다. 하나의 예로 저는 저의 블로그에 맞는 도메인을 추천받도록 하겠습니다.

Web 정보를 가져오기 위해서 "WebPilot"과 추천받은 도메인 가용여부를 확인하기 위해 "One Word Domains"을 설치하였습니다.

WebPilot을 이용하여 블로그를 탐색하고 탐색한 정보를 바탕으로 도메인을 추천합니다. 추천된 도메인이 가용한 지 확인하기 위해 One Word Domains을 이용하며 즉시 신청할 수 있는 URL을 제공합니다.

Plugins 작동 방법에 대해 아래와 같이 설명하고 있습니다.

• Plugins은  OpenAI에서 제어하지 않는 타사 애플리케이션으로 구동
• 대화의 일부와 현재 접속한 위치 정보(country, state)를 Plugins으로 보낼 수 있음
• 활성화한 Plugins에 따라 Plugins을 사용할 시기를 자동으로 선택
